About Much Ado About Nothing | Globe

Welcome to a luxurious paradise in the Globe Theatre this summer as love in its many forms is celebrated in Shakespeare’s timeless comedy, Much Ado About Nothing.

After years of war, an idyllic Italian town is finally back in bloom. But Young lovers Claudio and Hero, and sparring singletons Beatrice and Benedick, soon discover that all is not as it seems in their beautiful surrounds as they become entangled in a series of mischievous games, pranks and plots.

Globe Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes (The Winter’s Tale, ★★★★★ ‘A triumph’ The Telegraph) directs this Elizabethan-dress production.

‘Some Cupid kills with arrows, some with traps’ Act III, Scene 2

See it if you like comedy, banter, and chaos. If you're looking for the perfect Beatrice & Benedick, here is where you'll find them.

Don’t see it if you don't like Shakespeare or struggle to follow the old-timey language.

See it if You love Shakespeare or you have never seen it before. This show was one that I’ll remember for a long time. Everything was perfect!

Don’t see it if I can’t thing of anything. If you don’t like standing, but a seat. If the seats are too expensive, buy a standing ticket!
